3 Mount cylinder head (1) onto assembly device (01) NOTES
Before putting assembly device (01) into operation, check that counterholders (02) are correctly mounted on cylinder head (1).
There is otherwise the danger that the cylinder head (1) will be pressed upwards out of the assembly device (01) and the cylinder head (1) will be damaged with the valves (6) in the combustion chamber.
IMPORTANT Observe operator's manual of assembly device manufacturer (01).

5 Slide air bellows for assembly device (01) with the lever (06) NOTES
Ensure that air bellows for assembly device (01) always correctly stands opposite a combustion chamber and is pushed in the middle.
The air bellows can be pushed out of the side of the combustion chamber otherwise and this leads to damage to the valves (6).
IMPORTANT Move air bellows for the assembly device (01) with a lever (06) in such a way that they are matched to the combustion chamber of the respective valves (6).

6 Connect compressed air hose to assembly device (01) and open compressed air valve IMPORTANT The assembly device (01) air bellows presses the valve disks in the combustion chamber.
7 Remove upper valve spring retainer (2) and valve spring (3) IMPORTANT Press together valve spring (3) and Remove valve keepers (4).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Before installing the upper valve spring retainers (2) and valve springs (3), replace the valve stem seals (5).

8 Close compressed air valve for assembly device (01) IMPORTANT Then disconnect compressed air hose from assembly device (01).
9 Remove valves (6) IMPORTANT For this purpose, detach the cylinder head (1) from the assembly device (01).
INSPECT Check
10 Check upper valve spring retainer (2) and lower valve spring retainer (7) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Check upper valve spring retainers (2) and lower valve spring retainers (7) for score marks, cracks and pitting; replace if necessary.
11 Check valve stems IMPORTANT Check surface of valve stems for roughness and ridging (visual inspection or with nail).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace valves (6) with a rough stem surface or ridging.
