Replace valve stem seals - AR05.30-P-3500-02MM

1. Use pliers (07) to pull off valve stem seals (5).
2. Check valve stems for formation of burrs and pitting.

   For ridging on the valve stems

   ↓

   Deburr valve stems.

   ↓

   Replace valves.

   For pittings on valve stems

3. Fit protective sleeve onto the valve stem.

4. Coat valve stem seals (5) with engine oil.

   Engine 133, 270, 274

   During assembly ensure that the valve stem seals (5) are installed with the brown sealing on the exhaust side and with the green sealing on the inlet side.

   The valve stem seals (5) on the inlet and exhaust side are identical.

   During assembly ensure that the valve stem seals (5) are installed without a double lip (Fig 4) on the inlet side and the valve stem seals (5) are installed with a double lip (Fig 4) on the exhaust side. The valve stem seals (5) are identical in color so must not be swapped around.

5. Press valve stem seals (5) with drift (08) up to the end stop.
6. Remove protective sleeve from the valve stem.
