Remove/install electrohydraulic controller unit (transmission installed) - AR27.19-P-0200EH

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key    
2.1 Remove corresponding lower engine compartment paneling and its bracket from under the transmission TRANSMISSION 724.2 in MODEL 205, 222

TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, heat shield to sprag *BA27.10-P-1013-04G 
CLEAN Clean     
4 Clean oil pan (3) and surrounding area    
5 Remove oil pan (3)   AR27.10-P-7030EH 
6 Remove oil filter (4) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace oil filter (4) and pipe (5).  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, oil filter to electrohydraulic controller unit *BA27.10-P-1015-04G 
7 Remove electric transmission oil pump (M42)   AR27.30-P-0651EH 
8 Connect transmission connector to electrical connection (2) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Clean transmission connector and electrical connection (2).  
9 Unscrew screws/bolts (6) and remove fully integrated transmission control controller unit (Y3/8) from transmission housing (1) NOTES When prying off a tightly fixed fully integrated transmission control controller unit (Y3/8), cover the sealing surfaces on transmission housing (1).
The sealing surfaces on the transmission housing can be damaged otherwise.
IMPORTANT Pry off tightly fixed fully integrated transmission control controller unit (Y3/8) carefully using a suitable tool.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace screws/bolts (6) and oil guide pipe (7).
Check that the seal (8a) is seated correctly. Check that the seal (8b) is in good condition and seated correctly; replace if necessary. Insert oil guide pipe (7) into the transmission housing (1) before installing the fully integrated transmission control controller unit (Y3/8).
 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, electrohydraulic controller unit to transmission housing
If the fully integrated transmission control controller unit (Y3/8) is stuck:

Carefully pry off the fully integrated transmission control controller unit (Y3/8) using a suitable tool
*BA27.19-P-1001-01C 
10 Install in the reverse order IMPORTANT Shift through the gears of the transmission a few times before putting into service in order to flush any air pockets out of the fully integrated transmission control controller unit (Y3/8).  
11 Connect diagnostic system, read out fault memory and clear

REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS MODEL 212 with TRANSMISSION 724.2 AD00.00-P-2000-04A
12 Perform transmission adaptation After replacement or repair of transmission  
DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
13 Test run engine and check transmission for leaktightness and proper operation
