Roof Headlining: Removal
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag from working.
- REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY
- Remove the deck board assembly.
- REMOVE NO. 1 REAR SEAT LEG COVER RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 1 REAR SEAT LEG COVER LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 2 REAR SEAT LEG COVER LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
- Disengage the 8 claws and remove the front door scuff plate.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 2 screws.
- Disengage the claw and the 2 guides and remove the instrument panel under cover.
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Disengage the 3 claws and the 2 guides and remove the instrument panel under cover.
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH
- Disengage the 3 guides and remove the cowl side trim board.
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
- Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
- Disengage the 6 claws and remove the rear door scuff plate.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
- Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE REAR DECK TRIM COVER
- Disengage the 2 clips, the 4 claws and the 4 guides and remove the rear deck trim cover.
- REMOVE LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both sides.
- Remove the bolt and the luggage hold belt striker.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
- Remove the belt from the rear seat shoulder belt hanger.
- Remove the bolt.
- Disengage the 2 claws and remove the floor anchor.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH
- Disengage the 4 clips, the 7 claws and the screw and remove the deck trim side panel.
- REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH
- Disengage the 4 clips, the 7 claws and the screw and remove the deck trim side panel.
- Disconnect the luggage compartment light connector.

- REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH
- Pull the garnish towards yourself, and detach the 4 clips (do not detach clip A).
- Detach the 2 claws of the guide, and remove the roof side garnish inner toward the front or the vehicle.
HINT:
Clip A remains attached to the body side.
- Remove clip A from the vehicle body.
- REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both sides.
- Pull portion A, shown in the illustration, toward you, remove the 2 claws on the lower side followed by the claw on the upper side. Then remove the seat belt anchor cover cap.
- REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
- Remove the bolt, through anchor and front seat outer belt assembly.
- REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH
- Disengage the 2 clips and the 4 claws and remove the center pillar lower garnish.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH RH
- Disengage the 2 clips and the guide and remove the center pillar upper garnish.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH NOTE:
- Install a protective cover onto the curtain shield airbag as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.
- Replace the front pillar garnish clip with a new one when the front pillar garnish is removed.
- Install the protective tape.
- Using a moulding remover C, pull the upper part of the garnish toward the inside of the cabin and disengage the 2 clips.
- Cut off clip A.
- Disengage the guide and the claw and remove the front pillar garnish RH.
- Remove clip A from the vehicle body.
- Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.

- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE ASSIST GRIP
HINT:
Use the same procedure to remove all assist grips.
- Using a moulding remover A, disengage the 2 claws and remove the assist grip cover.
- Disengage the 2 springs and remove the assist grip.
- REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH
- Using a moulding remover B, disengage the 4 claws and remove the visor cover.
- Remove the visor shaft from the visor holder.
- Disengage the 2 springs and remove the visor.
- REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE VISOR HOLDER RH
- Turn the visor holder approximately 45° and pull it out as shown in the illustration.
- Disengage the 2 claws and remove the visor holder.
- REMOVE VISOR HOLDER LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 room light covers.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 4 claws and remove the room light.
- Remove the roof wire from the claw on the room light.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 4 claws and remove the room light switch base.
- REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
- Using a moulding remover D, disengage the 4 claws and remove the map light.
- Disconnect the map light connector.
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the antenna cord connector.
- Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clamps.
- Disconnect the roof wire connector.
- Using a clip remover, remove the 5 clamps.
- Using a clip remover, remove the clip.
- Remove the roof headlining from the back door.
- REMOVE REAR ROOF SILENCER PAD
- Remove the rear roof silencer pad.
- REMOVE REAR SIDE RAIL SPACER RH
- Remove the 2 adhesive portions and the front side rail spacer.
- REMOVE REAR SIDE RAIL SPACER LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE ROOF WIRE
- Remove the 7 pieces of tape.
- Remove the roof wire from the roof headlining.
- REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
