1. Release plug connection between main wire harness and rear-end wire harness at the left and right -33 and 34-  (-arrow A-  ) and disconnect it.

2. Pull off connector for front seat-belt pretensioner at the left and right -37 and 38-  and remove rubber sleeves -39 and 40-  . → Removing Front Three-Point Belt - section on "Removing"
3. Release and pull off connector on Tiptronic control unit -41-  . → Removing Tiptronic Control Unit - section on "Removing"
   1. 3.1. Unclip wire harness for Tiptronic control unit.

4. Release and pull off connector for airbag sensor, center left and right -42 and 43-  . → Removing Airbag Sensor - section on "Removing"
5. Release and pull off connector for ParkAssist control unit -44 and 45-  . → Removing Control Module For ParkAssist - section on "Removing"
6. Release and pull off connector on control unit for rear convenience systems -46 to 48-  . → Removing Control Unit For Rear Convenience Systems - section on "Removing".
7. Loosen ground point under the driver's seat -49-  .

   1. 7.1. Screw off fastening nut and remove ground straps.
8. Unclip ground point under driver's seat.

9. Release and remove connectors for telephone control unit -50 to 53-  . → Removing Control Unit For Telephone - section on "Removing"

10. Loosen ground point under the passenger's seat -54-  .

    1. 10.1. Screw off fastening nut and remove ground straps.
11. Unclip wire harness at door sill.

12. Release and disconnect plug connection between main wire harness and wire harness for door, left and right -59 and 60-  . → Removing Wiring Harness For Door  - section on "Disconnecting"
13. Release and pull off connector for gateway control unit -65-  . → Removing Gateway Control Unit - section on "Removing"
14. Release and pull off connectors for KESSY/PAS control unit -66 and 67-  . → Removing KESSY/PAS control unit - section on "Removing"
15. Release and pull off connector for brake light switch -68-  . → Removing Stop Light Switch - section on "Removing".
16. Release and pull off connector for pedal sensor -69-  . → Removing Accelerator Pedal - section on "Removing" 
17. Loosen ground point under the unit carrier -76-  .

    1. 17.1. Screw off fastening nut and remove ground straps.
18. Release and pull off connector for tilt sensor control unit -77-  . → Removing tilt sensor control unit - section on "Removing"
19. Disconnect plug connections between main wire harness and wire harness for heater/air-conditioning unit -79 and 80-  .

    1. 19.1. Release lower plug connection on heater/air-conditioning unit -arrows a-  and disconnect it.
    2. 19.2. Release upper plug connection on heater/air-conditioning unit -arrows a-  and disconnect it.

    3. 19.3. Cut tie-wraps (main wire harness to heater/air-conditioning unit wire harness) with side cutters. Remove main wire harness.

20. Release and disconnect plug connection for rain sensor -86-  . → Removing rain sensor - section on "Removing"
21. Disconnect plug connection for make-up mirror, left and right -87 and 88-  .

    1. 21.1. Unclip plug connection from console -arrow B-  .
    2. 21.2. Release plug connection -arrow a-  and disconnect it -arrows C-  .
22. Unclip cable duct at front of roof frame.

23. Unclip main wire harness at front of roof frame.

24. Remove main wire harness from A-pillar -area A-  .

26. Loosen ground points on dashboard bracket.

    1. 26.1. Unscrew fastening nuts and remove ground straps.
27. Unclip length compensation at the steering column.

29. Loosen holder for relay carrier.

    1. 29.1. Unscrew the two fastening screws and remove the relay carrier holder from the dashboard bracket.
30. Loosen main wire harness at left dashboard bracket.

    1. 30.1. Screw off fastening nut and remove fastening screw.
    2. 30.2. Unclip main wire harness on cable guide.
31. Loosen main wire harness at right dashboard bracket.
