Removing Control Module For Parkassist

Information 

If the ParkAssist control unit has to be replaced, the values from the control unit should first be read out using the PIWIS Tester 9718  . → Programming Control Unit For Parkassist

  1. Push control unit forwards in direction of travel from behind, unclip it, detach it and turn the holder 180°.

  2. Push together the retaining tabs for the control unit and pull the two catches back. Lift control unit up and out.

    NOTE: Voltage peaks
    • Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

    → Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

  3. -A-  Carefully lever the connector away from the control unit using two screwdrivers.
  4. -B-  Carefully lever the connector away from the control unit using one screwdriver.
