REMOVING AND INSTALLING BACKREST SHELL PROCEDURE

	Cover for backrest frame, front	1	See REMOVING COVERING FOR BACKREST CENTRE STRIP . Until model year 1997. See REMOVING COVER FOR THE FRONT BACKREST FRAME . As of model year 1997. 1	Sheetmetal screw M5 x 16	10	Unscrew.
2	Sheetmetal nut	10	Pull off.	Push on.
3	Left support	1	Remove.	Attach sheetmetal nut -2- to the backrest shell -5.1 or 5.2- . See Fig 1 . Position left support on the backrest shell -5.1 or 5.2- and fasten with the sheetmetal screws -1- . See Fig 1 .
4	Right support	1	Remove.	Attach sheetmetal nut -2- to the backrest shell -5.1 or 5.2- . See Fig 1 . Position left support on the backrest shell -5.1 or 5.2- and fasten with the sheetmetal screws -1- . See Fig 1 .
5.1	Backrest shell, standard seat	1	Press the backrest shell rearward out of the backrest frame.	Position the backrest shell on the backrest frame and press in the backrest shell.
5.2	Backrest shell, sports seat	1	Press the backrest shell rearward out of the backrest frame.	Position the backrest shell on the backrest frame and press in the backrest shell.
6	Storage pouch	1	Pull out storage pouch out of the backrest shell -5.1 or 5.2- . See Fig 1 .	Position storage pouch on the backrest shell -5.1 or 5.2- . See Fig 1 .
