Using Brake Warning Light

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect ground DLC terminal No. 1. See Fig 1 . Start engine.
If DTCs are stored in ABS ECU relating to HBB system, brake warning light will begin to flash intermittently. Long flashes indicate first digit of DTC, short flashes indicate last digit of DTC. For example, 2 long flashes followed by 4 short flashes indicate DTC 24. If 2 or more DTCs are stored, lowest number will be displayed first.
After recording all DTCs, perform appropriate diagnostic test. See DTC DEFINITION table. Clear DTCs from memory, see CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES .
