REP-TAT-P-2430-25 Replacing the wiring harness (8-speed, AISIN GA8F22AW) (Cooper Clubman S and JCW)

NOTE: When the engine is stopped after the completion of trip, it may be necessary to run the electric fan. In rare cases, operation of the electric fan can last up to 11 min. This protects the components. In this case, replacing the electric fan will not remedy the problem!

Detach the transmission oil cooler from the transmission. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER (GA8G45 / F22AW) (EXCEPT COOPER CLUBMAN JCW) or REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER (GA8G45 / F22AW) (COOPER CLUBMAN JCW) .

Replacing the wiring harness (GA8G45 / F22AW)

Detach all connectors (1).
Detach the connector (2) from the holder.

Unscrew the bolt (2) and remove the hold-down device.
Detach the temperature sensor (1) from the switching device.
Lay the wiring harness on the transmission toward the top.

Remove the wiring harness (1).

Install new wiring harness (1).

Plug the temperature sensor (1) into the switching device.

Position the hold-down device and tighten the bolt (2).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Temperature sensor on switching device (GA8G45 / F22AW)
M8x18
	Torque 18Nm

Connect all connectors (1).
Fasten the connector (2) to the holder.

Fasten the transmission oil cooler on the transmission. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER (GA8G45 / F22AW) (EXCEPT COOPER CLUBMAN JCW) or REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER (GA8G45 / F22AW) (COOPER CLUBMAN JCW) .
