REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove detachable parts in area of repair point.    
2 Cover all detachable parts remaining in vehicle with welding protection blankets.    
3 Separate front roof frame (1) and mounting supports (2). Model 217.4 AR65.20-P-1006-02LCA 
    Model 217.3 AR65.20-P-1006-02LC

Spot weld milling machine

Wet/dry vacuum cleaner

4 Prepare front roof frame (1) and mounting supports (2). Model 217.4 AR65.20-P-1006-04LCA

Rotary wire brush
Spot weld milling machine
Body power jigsaw

    Zinc dust paint suitable for spot welding *BR00.45-Z-1001-07A 
INSTALLING Install     
WARNING Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling vapors or swallowing adhesive. Risk of injury  caused by adhesive coming into contact with skin and eyes Wear respiratory protection, protective gloves and safety glasses. Pour adhesive into suitable and appropriately marked containers only. AS00.00-Z-0016-01A

5 Install front roof frame (1) and mounting support (2). Model 217.4 AR65.20-P-1006-05LCA

Drill bit for high-strength Ø 6.7 mm
Manual temporary fastener, 6.35 mm
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner

    Parts kit for 2-component adhesive for body *BR00.45-Z-1162-02A 
    Countersunk-head blind rivet Z2 6.4X15.5 (clamping range 3 mm to 5 mm, draw-off strength min. 15.5 kN) *BR00.45-Z-1044-13A 
    Countersunk-head blind rivet Z1 6.4X14.0 (clamping range 1.5 mm to 3 mm, draw-off strength min. 15.5 kN) *BR00.45-Z-1043-13A 
    Blind rivet Y1 6.4X12 (clamping range 1 mm to 3.5 mm, draw-off strength min. 15.5 kN) *BR00.45-Z-1035-13A 
    Blind rivet Y2 6.5X12.5 (clamping range 2 mm to 5 mm, draw-off strength min. 19 kN) *BR00.45-Z-1012-13A 
6 Clean weld joints and sheet metal flanges with rotary wire brush. IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools

7 Remove welding protection blankets.    
8 Clean repair area.    
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by paint vapors igniting. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling paint vapors. No smoking! No open fire! Use respiratory protection, protective clothing, gloves, safety glasses and protective skin cream. Ensure that the area is well ventilated. AS98.00-Z-0002-01A
9 Treat repair areas with primer filler.

10 Seal seam after repair. Model 217.3 AR97.10-P-4000-03LC
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by paint vapors igniting. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling paint vapors. No smoking! No open fire! Use respiratory protection, protective clothing, gloves, safety glasses and protective skin cream. Ensure that the area is well ventilated. AS98.00-Z-0002-01A
11 Paint repair areas and adjacent surfaces.
