	Remove/install
1	Commission electric brake booster control unit.	When replacing brake unit (1).
		The electric brake booster control unit is integrated into the brake unit (1).	AD00.00-P-2000-06FR
2	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).
3	Release fuse and relay module in engine compartment and place to one side.	Do not install the cover over the brake fluid reservoir (2) until the brake system has been bled.	AR54.15-P-0005S
	Clean
4	Clean area around cap on brake fluid reservoir (2).	Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
5	Clean master brake cylinder (3) and traction system hydraulic unit (4) in area of connections of brake lines (5).	Before opening the hydraulic system, thoroughly clean the area around the connections. Otherwise minute particles of dirt in the hydraulic components can result in malfunctions and total failure of the hydraulic system. Only use clean, lint free rags and cleaner free of mineral oil. Do not use any compressed-air for cleaning when the brake system is open.

6	Remove cap of brake fluid reservoir (2) and extract brake fluid.
7	Remove brake lines (5) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.	Retaining screw, brake line to master brake cylinder	*BA42.10-P-1002-04R

8	Release and disconnect electrical connectors (6, 7).
9	Release and disconnect electrical connector (8) and unclip electric line (arrow).
10	Remove brake pedal.		AR29.10-P-0300S
11	Remove brake unit (1).
	Check
12	Check boot of brake unit (1) for damage.	If removed brake unit (1) is to be reinstalled. If there is a problem, ↓ replace brake unit (1).
13	Check brake lines (5) for deformation.	If there is a problem, ↓ replace brake lines (5).

14	Install in the reverse order.

	Check
16	Perform brake test on test stand.
