Audio/COMAND, general
The radio (Audio) (N87/2) is the central control unit for the entertainment and communication systems integrated in the vehicle. The display and menu views for the functions are generated in the radio (Audio) and shown on the integrated display.
Model 447.7 with code E1N (Becker® MAP PILOT)
Displays and menu views for the navigation system on the radio (Audio) display are not generated by the radio (Audio), but rather the Becker® MAP PILOT control unit.
The radio (Audio) is connected to the on-board electronics via the interior CAN (CAN B) and with code E1N (Becker® MAP PILOT) via the telematics CAN (CAN A).
The Audio/COMAND function contains the following subfunctions, which are described in separate documents:
