| 12 | Remove retaining clip (13). | ||
| 13 | Loosen the sealing frame near the side wall trim (7). | ||
| 14 | Loosen side wall trim (7) near the retaining clips (14, 15). | If damage is detected: ↓ Replace corresponding retaining clips (14, 15). |

| 15 | As shown, insert a long wedge (10) near the arrows between the side wall trim (7) and the window frame and unclip the retaining clips (11). | Loosen the side wall trim (7) carefully. Otherwise, the side wall trim (7) and the retaining clips (11) may be damaged. Ensure that retaining clips (11) are seated correctly on the window frame rabbet. |

If the retaining clips (11) are damaged: ↓ Replace corresponding retaining clips (11). |

| 19 | Disconnect electrical connector from right rear load compartment socket (X58/12). | ||
| 20 | Disconnect electrical connector from right C-pillar footwell lamp (E17/22). | ||
| 21 | Disconnect electrical connector from right hinged window switch (S21/16). | ||
| 22 | Disconnect electrical connector (18) for USB port (19). | ||
| 23 | Remove side wall trim (7). | ||
| 24 | Remove detachable parts of the side wall trim (7). | If side wall trim (7) is replaced. | |
| 25 | Transfer cutout dimensions from the old side wall trim (7) onto the new part and prepare cutouts using a suitable tool. | If side wall trim (7) is replaced. | |
| 26 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
| Check | |||
| 27 | Perform function check of all component parts in the side wall trim (7). |
