	Remove/install
1	Extend thigh rest (15) by approx. 4 cm.
2	Remove front seat.	Model 213 with code 555 (AMG-Performance Seat)	AR91.10-P-1000LW

3	Remove outer trims at seat frame.	Model 213 with code 555 (AMG-Performance Seat) with code U22 (Lumbar support adjustment)	AR91.10-P-1201LWA

4	Remove inner trims at seat frame.	Model 213 with code 555 (AMG-Performance Seat)	AR91.10-P-1202LW

5	Release catches (arrows A) using a suitable tool, detach thigh support (15) and place onto seat cushion padding (1).	Observe positioning of hooks (13, 14). Pay attention to routing of electrical wiring harness (12).
6	Unhook left rear passenger compartment footwell lamp (E17/17) or right rear passenger compartment footwell lamp (E17/18) from seat adjustment unit and hang to one side with connected electric line.

8	Unhook tabs (3).

		The number of electrical connectors (2) varies depending on the vehicle equipment
		Secure electrical wiring harness onto seat adjustment unit so that it is possible to adjust the front seat without any restrictions.
10	Remove and disconnect electrical connector for seat ventilation motors.	Model 213, 290 with code 401 (Climatised front seats) with code 555 (AMG-Performance Seat)
11	Unhook cover from below all way round on seat cushion frame.	Hook in cover, starting at corners.

12	Unhook staple wire (17) from hooks (arrows B).
13	Unhook cover in area of previously removed thigh rest (15).
14	Unhook piping (16) and remove thigh rest (15) from seat cushion padding (1).	Pay attention to routing of electrical wiring harness (12).

		It is not permissible to replace the following components of the front passenger seat individually: Seat cushion cover Seat cushion padding (1) Sensor mat with weight sensing system (WSS) control unit A repair can only be carried out through the complete installation of a service kit (consisting of the seat cushion cover, seat cushion padding (1), and sensor mat with weight sensing system (WSS) control unit). It is a closed safety system that was calibrated beforehand.

		Menu sequence: SRS control unit → Actual value → Front passenger seat belt reminder warning When the front passenger seat is occupied by a person with a weight > 48 kg, the actual value must change from "NOT OCCUPIED" to "OCCUPIED".
