| 1.1 | Remove front seat (1). | If cover (6) is removed. | AR91.10-P-1000FR |
| 1.2 | Move front seat (1) to its foremost and upmost position. | If trim (2, 3) is to be removed. | |
| 2 | Unclip and remove trim (2) in direction of arrow. | ||
| 3 | Unhook trim (3) at catch hook (arrow A), catch hooks (arrows B) and catch hook (arrow C). | ||
| 4 | Release trim (3) from lock (arrow D), remove and set aside with connected electric lines. | ||
| 5 | Disconnect electrical connector from lumbar support adjustment switch (S109/2, S109/3). | Model 257, 290 except code 432 (Left and right dynamic multicontour seat) |

| 6 | Disconnect electrical connector from seat adjustment operating unit. | Model 257, 290 except code 221 (Electrically adjustable left driver seat) except code 222 (Electrically adjustable right front seat) except code 275 (Memory package) |

| 7 | Unclip lumbar support adjustment switch (S109/2, S109/3). | Model 257, 290 except code 432 (Left and right dynamic multicontour seat) When replacing cover (2). |
