	Remove/install
1	Remove left secondary chain drive timing chain.		AR05.10-P-7614MNA
2	Remove left secondary chain drive tensioning rail.		AR05.10-P-8129MNA
3	Remove left secondary chain drive slide rail.		AR05.10-P-8481MNA
4	Remove both camshafts from cylinder head (1).		AR05.20-P-6992MNA
5	Remove left exhaust manifold.		AR14.10-P-3006MNA
6	Remove fuel line from front cylinder head (1).
7	Remove coolant line from cylinder head (1).
8	Remove shutoff valve.		AR20.00-P-0300MNA
9	Loosen the cylinder head bolts (2) in stages in the reverse order of the tightening procedure and remove.	Tightening specification for cylinder head bolts	AR01.30-P-5800-07MNA
		Tightening procedure for cylinder head bolts Installation:  Observe tightening procedure and tightening specification. Installation:  Replace cylinder head bolts (2).	AR01.30-P-5800-01MNA
		Bolt, cylinder head to crankcase	*BA01.30-P-1001-01N
10	Remove cylinder head (1) from crankcase.
	General information on checking valves, valve seats and valve guides		AH05.30-P-1000-02SZ
		Installation:  Fit a the new cylinder head gasket on the crankcase. Pay attention to the guide bushing for fixing the cylinder head (1).
	Clean
11	Clean the sealing surfaces on the cylinder head (1) and on the crankcase.		AR01.00-P-0050-01A
		Do not use any sharp-edged tools or abrasive paper. This may otherwise cause damage to sealing surfaces and, subsequently, engine and environmental damage.
		Mechanical processing and/or cleaning of sealing surfaces by means of spot grinding with abrasive paper or other abrasive materials to remove sealing residue is not permitted. Even the smallest amounts of corundum and grinding particles as well as wear debris that enter into the engine oil chamber, bearing points, or combustion chambers lead to damage and thus cause engine damage
		The sealing surfaces must feel even after treatment. The sealing surfaces need not be metallic bright; thin layers of firmly adhering silicone sealant may remain.
		Cleaning is permitted only with the approved adhesive and sealant remover.
		Observe processing information from manufacturer.

12	Blow out threaded holes of cylinder head bolts (2) in crankcase with compressed air and clean away engine oil and coolant.
	Check
13	Check the sealing surfaces on the cylinder head (1) and on the crankcase for cracks and unevenness and replace if necessary.	Installation:  Any distortion of the cylinder head (1) in the longitudinal or transverse direction is compensated for by tightening the cylinder head bolts (2) when reassembling. Check relevant sealing surfaces of the engine for unevenness, score marks, etc ↓ Replace affected component.
14	Install in the reverse order.
15	Change engine oil and oil filter element.

	Risk of accident  by starting up automatically while the engine is running. Risk of injury  from bruises and burns from working on the engine during the starting process or while the engine is running	Secure the vehicle against starting by itself. 16	Perform engine test run and check engine and fuel system for leak tightness.
