Remove/Install Pop-Up Bracket On Tilting/Sliding Roof - AR77.20-P-1700GW

Model 463 (except 463.202) up to model year 2019

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove trim from tilting/sliding roof Model 463 (except 463.202) as of model year 2013 up to model year 2019 AR77.20-P-0500GW 
2 Remove tilting/sliding roof panel   AR77.20-P-1000GW 
3 Remove guide plate (1) from sliding carrier (2)    
4 Remove tilting/sliding roof panel angle bracket (4) IMPORTANT Remove from lateral guide (guide rail) in upward direction.  
5 Remove water drain channel   AR77.20-P-1999GW 
6 Remove sliding carrier (2)    
7 Remove tilting bracket (5) IMPORTANT Slide tilting bracket (5) forward up to end stop, tilt upward, and remove inward at an angle.  
INSTALLING Install     
8 Grease tilting bracket (5) on slide shoes (7) and moving parts Synthetic grease, sliding roof 500 g, DB supply specification 6827.60 *BR00.45-Z-1004-06A 
9 Install tilting bracket (5) NOTES Ensure that the slide shoes (7) are seated correctly.
Otherwise it could lead to malfunctions		  
10 Install sliding carrier (2) IMPORTANT Press tilting bracket (5) outward slightly using a screwdriver, then tighten screws of sliding carrier (2).  
11 Install water drain channel   AR77.20-P-1999GW 
12 Adjust basic setting on tilting bracket mechanism IMPORTANT Insert left and right adjusting gauges (6) in side guide (guide rail) and in groove in tilting bracket (5) (arrows).
Only remove adjusting gauges (6) after installing the tilting/sliding roof panel.

13 Install tilting/sliding roof panel angle bracket (4)    
14 Install guide plate (1) on sliding carrier (2)    
15 Install tilting/sliding roof panel   AR77.20-P-1000GW 
16 Remove left and right adjusting gauges (6) SPECIAL TOOL Adjusting gauge Fig 1
    SPECIAL TOOL Adjusting gauge Fig 2
17 Actuate tilting/sliding roof and move into all positions multiple times    
18 Close tilting/sliding roof and check markings (8) and marking notches (9) on left and right slide rails Remove/install paneling on rear pillar Model 463 (except 463.202) as of model year 2013 up to model year 2019 AR68.30-P-4505GW
    Carry out fine adjustment of tilting/sliding roof. Model 463 (except 463.202) up to model year 2019 with code D27 (Electric tilting/sliding glass sunroof)
IMPORTANT If marking (8) is outside the marking notches (9) on the slide rail:
↓		 AR77.20-P-1100-02A 
19 Carry out function check    
20 Install left trim on tilting/sliding roof Remove/install paneling on tilting/sliding roof Model 463 (except 463.202) as of model year 2013 up to model year 2019 AR77.20-P-0500GW 
21 Install trim on rear pillar Model 463 (except 463.202) as of model year 2013 up to model year 2019 AR68.30-P-4505GW
