	Check
1	Check delivery condition of 2nd generation DTCO (7).	Information regarding manufacturer, device type and serial number on the type plate must correspond to the information on the delivery note. The lead seal of the 2nd generation DTCO (7), and the lead seal (8) of the battery compartment (9) must be intact. If the lead seal of the 2nd generation DTCO (7) or lead seal (8) of the battery compartment (9) is damaged or the specifications for the manufacturer, device type and serial number do not match the delivery note, ↓ order new 2nd generation DTCO (7) and return faulty 2nd generation DTCO (7).
	Remove
2.1	Remove cover (2).	Model 907 with code H1B (Operation of front tachograph under headliner) Cover (2) is no longer required and must be handed over to the customer or disposed of properly following consultation with the customer.
2.2	Remove cover (3).	Model 907 with code J2B (Operation of front tachograph under instrument panel, front passenger side) Cover (3) is no longer required and must be handed over to the customer or disposed of properly following consultation with the customer.

	Install
5	Install device installation frame (5).	To do so, insert device installation frame (5) into frame (6) and bend over shackles (arrows) until device installation frame (5) can no longer be moved.

6	Retrofit antenna for 2nd generation DTCO (7).		AN54.61-D-2002-01TSA
7	Subsequently connect and install 2nd generation DTCO (7).		AN54.61-D-2002-04TS
		If the buffer battery is not OK or the manufacturing date (10) is older than 12 months, ↓ replace buffer battery. Remove/install backup battery for digital tachograph When replacing the buffer battery, the power supply from the vehicle must be guaranteed. Otherwise, it is no longer possible to commission the 2nd generation DTCO (7).	AR54.61-D-0009TS
8	Clip in covers (1).
9	Clip in covers (4).
10	Enter special equipment into on-line vehicle data card.	Designation of affected special equipment Code JD6 (EU intelligent tachograph). Delete existing code J4V (Pre-installation for EU intelligent tachograph). Attach "Digital tachograph retrofitted as per AN54.61-D-2002TS " note under field organization texts to DG 54.
11	Carry out SCN coding on electronic ignition lock control unit (EZS).
		Do not yet remove vehicle diagnosis system.	AR54.21-D-0015TS
12	Carry out SCN coding on instrument cluster (IC) control unit.

13	Enter serial numbers of 2nd generation DTCO (7), rpm sensor and lead seal of rpm sensor into Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc).
14	Tachograph inspection to be carried out by authorized personnel.	When doing so, observe operator's manual included with 2nd generation DTCO (7). Observe national legal requirements for tachograph testing.
15	Place operator's manual of 2nd generation DTCO (7) in vehicle.
