| 1 | Remove digital tachograph (1) with electrical lines connected. | When the buffer battery (5) is removed, the vehicle power supply must always remain connected to the digital tachograph (1). Otherwise commissioning of the digital tachograph (1) is not possible. |

| 2 | Remove security seal adhesive label (2) and the cover (4) of battery compartment (3). | ||
| 3 | Remove buffer battery (5) from battery compartment (3) and disconnect electrical connector (6). | ||
| Install | |||
| 4 | Connect electrical connector (6). | ||
| 5 | Insert buffer battery (5) into battery compartment (3). | ||
| 6 | Close cover (4) of battery compartment (3) | ||
| 7 | Affix new security seal adhesive label (2). | ||
