	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

	Remove/install
1	Shift transmission (3) into neutral position
2	Release parking brake
3	Secure vehicle on vehicle lift		AR00.60-P-0100CW
		Only release vehicle after leak test.
4	Drain coolant from low-temperature circuit		AR09.41-P-6834MNM
		Only install center and rear lower rear engine compartment paneling again after leak test.
5	Remove rear engine mount		AR22.10-P-1160MNM
6	Remove propeller shaft (8)		AR41.10-P-0050LF
7	Remove bolt of holder (4) and remove holder (4)	Bolt, coolant line to transfer case/bracket at side on automatic transmission	*BA28.10-P-1009-01G
8	Remove bolt for coolant lines (6) on transfer case (1)	Bolt, coolant line to transfer case/bracket at side on automatic transmission	*BA28.10-P-1009-01G
9	Remove coolant lines (6) from transfer case (1); seal openings and lines	Replace seals.

10	Release and disconnect electrical connector from all-wheel drive control unit (N45)
11	Release and disconnect electrical connector from transmission oil temperature sensor (B91)
12	Lower transmission (3) until all bolts (2) around the circumference of the transfer case (1) are accessible
13	Support transfer case (1)

14	Unscrew bolts (2) and remove transfer case (1)	The aid of a second person is required for disconnection and connection at the flange of the front axle propeller shaft (5).
		Screw/bolt, transfer case to automatic transmission	*BA28.10-P-1001-01G
15	Remove all-wheel drive control unit (N45)	When replacing transfer case (1).	AR28.19-P-1003MNM
16	Remove oil cooler (10)	When replacing transfer case (1).	AR28.55-P-1000MNM
17	Remove transmission oil temperature sensor (B91)	When replacing transfer case (1).	AR28.19-P-1007MNM
18	Check intermediate panel (9) for damage	In the case of complaints. ↓ Replace intermediate panel (9).
19	Install in the reverse order
20	Check and correct transmission oil level		AR28.10-P-0100-06MNE
		Transfer case oil	*BF28.10-P-1001-01F
		Oil level sight glass to transfer case	*BA28.10-P-1007-01G
		Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
21	Perform engine test run and check transfer case (1) for proper operation and leak tightness
22	Install center and rear sections of lower engine compartment lining		AR61.20-P-1105LF
23	Disconnect vehicle from vehicle lift		AR00.60-P-0100CW
