11 Remove screws (13, 14). NOTES Position transmission vertically downward at front.
Otherwise, the transmission housing (1) falls down after removing the last screws (13, 14).		  
12 Remove transmission housing (1) from torque converter housing (15). SPECIAL TOOL Valve lifter Fig 10
13 Remove multiplate clutch K27. When replacing transmission housing (1).

  Install     
15 Measure end play of transmission housing (1) and correct if necessary. When replacing transmission housing (1).

    IMPORTANT There are two transmission housing variants with different diameters (64 mm and 62 mm).

16 Install multiplate clutch K27. When replacing transmission housing (1). AR27.50-P-0614EWM 
17 Align disks in transmission housing (1).    
18 Place transmission housing (1) on torque converter housing (15). NOTES Place the transmission housing (1) carefully.
Otherwise, the disks in the disk pack may break.		  
19 Insert output flange (8) or connecting flange (22) into power output shaft (17).    
20 Move transmission housing (1) gradually closer to seal (16) of torque converter housing (15) by abruptly turning the output shaft (17) and simultaneously lifting the transmission housing (1). NOTES The transmission housing (1) must make full contact without any gaps with the seal (16) on the torque converter housing (15).
Otherwise leaks may occur.
NOTES Never pull the transmission housing (1) by the screws/bolts (13, 14) onto the torque converter housing (15).
Otherwise, the disks in the disk pack may break.		  
21 Detach output flange (8) or connecting flange (22) from power output shaft (17).    
22 Screw in screws (13, 14). IMPORTANT Replace screws (13, 14).  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, torque converter housing/adapter housing to transmission housing *BA27.10-P-1002-04H 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, transmission housing to torque converter housing/adapter housing *BA27.10-P-1004-04H 
23 Drive deep-groove ball bearing (10) into transmission housing (1) using a suitable drift and install retaining ring (18). IMPORTANT Make sure that the retaining ring (18) does not cover up the oil return hole (24).

26 Place intermediate housing (21) onto transmission housing (1) and screw in screws (19). Transmission 725.0 (except 725.007/017/037/047) in model 166, 167, 292
IMPORTANT Ensure that the dowel pins in the intermediate housing (21) are seated correctly.
IMPORTANT Replace screws/bolts (19).

    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, rear bracket to transmission *BA27.10-P-1011-04H 
29 Check plain couplers (4), sealing rings and sealing lips for damage. If damage occurs,

Replace plain couplers (4), sealing rings and sealing lips.		  
30 Install plain couplers (4) and screw in screw (5). IMPORTANT Check oil guide pipes (4) are correctly seated.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, oil guide pipe to transmission housing *BA27.10-P-1013-04H 
31 Install park pawl actuator (6).   AR27.60-P-0956EWM
32 Detach transmission from assembly stand.
