DANGER Risk of fire/risk of explosion  due to short circuit and escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of (burn) injury caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte/mist, short circuit and arcing. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing battery electrolyte or absorption of lead through the skin or body orifices. Risk of death  due to voltage U >= 30 V AC and U >= 60 V DC. No fires, sparks, open flames, or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing, and glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A .
DANGER Risk of death  when working on component parts and systems with U >= 30 V alternating voltage (AC) or U >= 60 V direct voltage (DC) Do not touch damaged or defective live component parts and lines or non-insulated electrical connections and lines. AS00.00-Z-0035-01A

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove detachable parts in area of repair point.    
2 Cover all detachable parts remaining in vehicle with spark protection blankets.    
3.1 Remove center roof paneling. Model 205.0/1
except code 413 (Panoramic sliding sunroof/glass roof)

3.2 Remove panoramic roof. Model 205.0/1

4 Remove rear roof frame (1).   AR65.20-P-1008-01LWU .
1K-zinc dust paint *BR00.45-Z-1056-07A .
5 Prepare rear roof frame (1).   AR65.20-P-1008-02LWU .

INSTALLING Install     
DANGER The high voltage used for electric welding presents a lethal hazard. Risk of explosion  from welding in areas close to highly inflammable materials. Risk of injury  from weld splatter and UV-light when welding. Risk of poisoning  from inhaling welding gases Use insulating mats. Wear protective clothing, safety glasses and a protective mask. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Use air extraction system. AS00.00-Z-0007-01A .
6 Install rear roof frame (1).   AR65.20-P-1008-03LWU .
Topical note Measures for preventing damage to components when performing electric welding and soldering work   AH60.00-P-0001-02A .
REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 01 84 00 Welder   WS60.00-P-0021K .
7 Clean weld joints and sheet metal flange. 1K-zinc dust paint *BR00.45-Z-1056-07A .
8 Install center roof paneling. Model 205.0/1
except code 413 (Panoramic sliding sunroof/glass roof)

9 Remove spark protection blankets.    
10 Clean repair area.    
DANGER Risk of explosion caused by paint vapors igniting. Risk of poisoning caused by inhaling paint vapors. No smoking! No open fire! Use respiratory protection, protective clothing, gloves, safety glasses and protective skin cream. Ensure that the area is well ventilated. AS98.00-Z-0002-01A .
11 Treat repair areas with primer filler.

12 Seal seam after repair.   AR97.10-P-4000LW .
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by paint vapors igniting. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling paint vapors. No smoking! No open fire! Use respiratory protection, protective clothing, gloves, safety glasses and protective skin cream. Ensure that the area is well ventilated. AS98.00-Z-0002-01A .
13 Paint repair areas and adjacent surfaces.

14 Install the panoramic roof. Model 205.0/1
with code 413 (Panoramic sliding sunroof/glass roof)

16 Install detachable parts in the area of the repair point.
