When working in engine compartment, use front cover for magnesium radiator crossmember. Otherwise, the surface coating on the radiator crossmember made of magnesium may be damaged. |

| 4 | Extract oil from power steering expansion reservoir. | ||

| 7 | Remove nuts (2). | ||
| 8 | Release expansion rivet (1) and remove protective grille (3). | ||
| 9 | Remove expansion rivet (11). | ||
| 10 | Unclip cable clip (12) and remove lower air duct segment (10). | ||
| 11 | Remove screws (5) and (7) and detach low-pressure lines (6) and (9). | *BA00.10-P-1002-04A | |
| 12 | Remove screw (8) and detach low-pressure lines (6) and (9) from power steering cooler (4). | Thoroughly clean area around the separation point before opening the hydraulic system. Otherwise, even the smallest particles introduced into the hydraulic system may lead to component malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system. |
