| 2 | Unscrew cap of brake fluid reservoir and suction off some brake fluid. | ||

| 5 | Remove screw (9), disconnect electrical connector for brake lining wear sensor (S10/2x1) and remove from brake caliper (1). | When removing brake caliper (1) on right side of vehicle. | |

| If the brake pistons are sluggish, ↓ replace brake caliper (1). |

| 8 | Unscrew screws (7) and remove brake caliper (1). | ||

| 9 | Check brake caliper (1) and dust boots of brake pistons for leak tightness and damage. | If there is a problem, ↓ replace brake caliper (1). |

| 10 | Check condition of brake linings (6) and measure degree of wear. | If necessary, replace brake linings. | |

| 11 | Check brake hose (10) and brake line piece (99) for damage. | The brake line piece (99) of the brake hose (10) must not be bent. A bent brake line piece (99) can lead to functional impairment of the brake system. |
