| 6 | Unscrew bolts (3) on left and right side of vehicle | ||
| 7 | Remove mounting console (2) on left and right side of vehicle | ||
| 8 | Remove felt strips (5) | ||
| 9 | Insert pliers (6) on left and right side of vehicle into corresponding opening (arrow) | Fig 3 | |
| 10 | Remove water drain hoses (4) on left and right side of sliding roof frame (1) | Carefully remove water drain hoses (4). Damage can otherwise occur. |

| 11 | Remove screw/bolts (7) | ||
| 12 | Remove pliers (6) and sliding roof frame (1) through door cutout on passenger door from vehicle | Cover center console. Damage can otherwise occur. |

| 13 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 14 | Normalize sliding roof | ||
| 15 | Connect diagnostic system, read out fault memory, perform teach-in run for sliding roof anti-pinch protection | ||
