	Remove/install
1	Deactivate memory package.	Engine 264 in model 253 with code 275 (Memory Package (driver's seat, steering column and mirror)) except code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive) Engine 264, 274.9 in model 205 with code 275 (Memory Package (driver's seat, steering column and mirror)) except code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive)
2	Turn rack-and-pinion steering to center position (front wheels in straight-ahead position) and fix steering wheel in place with holding device.	Do not turn steering wheel when removing the steering coupling. Fault on clock spring contact possible. Retainer device	Fig 5

4	Remove engine air intake duct upstream of air filter.

19	Remove both front engine mounts (2) downwards.	Always replace front engine mounts (2) in pairs. Observe environmental protection regulations for disposal of the engine mount (2). Dispose of front engine mount (2) into mixed scrap.
20	Install in the reverse order.
