Attach/Detach Engine Hoist - AR33.10-P-0105LW

  Risk of injury.  Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area of mechanical components when moving components. AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
  Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray.Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. AS20.00-Z-0001-01A
REMOVINGSPECIAL TOOL Remove/Install     
1.1 Remove engine cover (7) Model 205, 253 with engine 274, 276.8  
1.2 Remove engine cover panel (13) Model 205 with engine 177  
2.1 Remove engine air intake duct (10) upstream of air filter Model 205, 253 with engine 274  
2.2 Remove engine intake air ducts upstream of air filter Model 205, 253 with engine 276.8  
2.3 Remove left air filter housing (14) and right air filter housing (15) Model 205 with engine 177  
3 Remove right engine compartment cover (8) and left engine compartment cover (9)    
4.1 Remove coolant expansion reservoir (11) and place to one side with lines still connected Model 205, 253 with engine 274, 276.8

4.2 Detach coolant line (12) from coolant expansion reservoir (11) Model 205 with engine 177  
5 Detach electrical connectors (16) with bracket from bulkhead and place to one side Model 205 with engine 177  
6 Attach adaptation plates (6) to engine hoist (1) SPECIAL TOOL Engine lifting device Fig 2

7 Attach adapter (5) to adaptation plates (6) SPECIAL TOOL Adapter kit Fig 4
8 Attach adaptations (3) to engine hoist (1) IMPORTANT The adaptations (3) are part of the SPECIAL TOOL engine hoist.

9 Preset engine hoist (1) IMPORTANT Observe the assembly specifications and safety information from the manufacturer, and make sure that the adaptations (3) are installed at the correct position.
The arrows must point in the direction of travel.
 
10 Position engine hoist (1) with adapter (5), adaptation plates (6) and adaptations (3) on suspension strut towers and longitudinal members IMPORTANT Helper required.  
11 Align engine hoist (1) horizontally and tighten threaded connections    
12.1 Attach shackle between support (4) and engine suspension lug Model 205, 253 with engine 274, 276.8  
12.2 Install lifting eye (17) between support (4) and engine mounting points Model 205 with engine 177

13 Tighten turnbuckle of lifting device (2) IMPORTANT Only raise engine sufficiently that the engine mounts are not under tension.  
14 Install in the reverse order
