1	Move driver seat and front passenger seat towards rear
2	Remove audio component

3	Remove 5-inch Audio/COMAND display (A40/8)

		The 5-inch Audio/COMAND display (A40/8) is no longer required.
4	Remove instrument cluster (A1)	MODEL 204 with CODE 510 (Audio 20 with CD changer) or with CODE 523 (MB Audio 20 radio) or without CODE 442 (Comfort multifunction steering wheel)

5	Remove airbag unit (1) from steering wheel	MODEL 204 without CODE 442 (Comfort multifunction steering wheel)

		The airbag unit (1) at the steering wheel is no longer required.
6	Remove door sill on driver side
7	Remove paneling at bottom of right A-pillar
8	Remove accelerator pedal

19	Enter special equipment in online vehicle data card via vehicle documentation system (VeDoc)	Delete:  CODE 523 (MB Audio 20 radio) or CODE 510 (Audio 20 with CD changer) or CODE 525 (MB Audio 50 APS radio) or CODE 511 (Audio 50 APS with DVD changer) Add:  CODE 512 (COMAND APS with DVD changer)
20	Document retrofitted equipment through VeDoc	Attach note "COMAND APS with DVD changer retrofitted as per AN82.85-P-0004CYA " under field organization texts to design group 82, as well as 46 and 54 where applicable.
21	Connect Star Diagnosis and select vehicle via the vehicle identification number (VIN)

22	Perform variant coding with XENTRY using the software calibration number (SCN)	Listed control units must be SCN coded using the Diagnosis Assistance System: "Instrument cluster" (A1) "COMAND controller unit (A40/3) with DVD changer".
23	Disconnect Star Diagnosis

24	Perform function test	See operator's manual for COMAND controller unit (A40/3).
