Remove/install bottom part of oil pan - AR01.45-P-7555GZS (ML63 AMG)

11.7.06 Bolt, stabilizer bar retaining clamp to bearing bracket   *BA32.20-P-1001-02L

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, tailgates or sliding roof. Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A

1 Open engine hood Model 164 AR88.40-P-1000GZ

2 Remove partition wall between wheelhouses IMPORTANT Only model 251 AR62.30-P-2400RT
3 Remove air filter housing NOTES Do not tilt front engine cover, but lift upwards vertically otherwise the retaining lugs can break off. AR09.10-P-1150GZS
4 Mount engine hoist Model 164 AR33.10-P-0100-01GZ
    Model 251 AR33.10-P-0100-01RT

5 Raise vehicle with lifting platform   AR00.60-P-1000GZ
6 Remove bottom engine compartment paneling IMPORTANT Only install engine cover after inspecting for leaks.

7 Drain engine oil, collect if necessary TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA01.45-P-1001-01R 
    FLUID SPECIFICATION *BF18.00-P-1001-01V 
8 Remove bolts from engine mount at front axle carrier    
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 164 *BA22.10-P-1001-03G 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 251 *BA22.10-P-1001-03F 
9 Unscrew bolts (3) at stabilizer bar IMPORTANT Do not remove stabilizer bar completely but just hang it up below.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 164 *BA32.20-P-1001-02L 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 251 *BA32.20-P-1001-02N 
10 Loosen double clamp (4) and remove    
11 Remove bolts (5) from power steering pressure line bracket at engine oil pan and hang up pressure line to the side TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA46.30-P-1008-01O 
12 Remove bolt (6) on automatic transmission oil lines holder TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA01.45-P-1005-01R 
13 Raise engine at front lifting eye IMPORTANT Ensure that engine and its detachable components are not lying against the body!
Do not over-tension coolant lines and electric cables!		  
14 Remove bolts (2) on oil pan bottom section (1), remove oil pan bottom section (1) IMPORTANT Do not damage the sealing surfaces when removing!  
IMPORTANT Notes on sealant path for oil pan   AH01.45-P-0001-01GZ
    IMPORTANTInstallation:  Clean sealing surfaces; apply sealant to the sealing surfaces with a bead of 2.0 mm (± 0.5 mm)! The sealant must be applied within 10 minutes! The silicone bead must not be spread!

15 Install in the reverse order    
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.		 AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
16 Conduct engine test run and check the engine for leaks
