Function

When the vehicle is locked with the remote control key the "lock" signal is transferred to the multi-function control module (N10-3) via the IR DAS control module (N54/1) or radio frequency DAS control module (N54/3). From here the signal is transferred to the pneumatic system equipment control module (A37) via the data bus (CAN).

Following this signal the state of all alarm inputs is checked cyclically (0.5s). If 20 checks in sequence (10s) indicate the non-actuated position, the corresponding alarm input is armed.

The "lock" signal activates the ATA via the PSE control module (A37) and if installed, the anti-towing sensor (TS).

USA ONLYJAPAN ONLY When the vehicle is locked mechanically the signal travels from the lock switches via the IR DAS control module (N54/1) to the multifunction control module (N10-1).

When the ATA is armed the LED in the interior switch (CL) (S6/1s2) flashes or on vehicles with code 882a, the LED in the ATA status/towing protection switch (S85/3)
