MODEL 170 up to 31.5.98 with CODE (552a) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA) for Switzerland
The anti-theft alarm (ATA) is triggered when:
- an exterior contact is actuated
- the brake contact is actuated
- the radio is removed (electrical connector disconnected)
- the ignition is jumpered
- the glove compartment is opened (actuation of glove box switch (ATA) (S62/7)
On vehicles with code 882 it is also triggered by:
- Anti-towing sensor (TS).
Assuming that the corresponding inputs are armed when the ATA is activated.
The armed inputs are checked twice each second by the PSE control module (combined) (A37).
If two checks of the same input in sequence indicate that the input is not in the non-actuated state, the PSE control module triggers an acoustic as well as optical alarm .
