	Remove/Install
	Risk of injury. Moving parts can pinch, crush or  , in extreme cases even sever  extremities.	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
	Risk of injury  to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing hydraulic fluid.	Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and eye protection.	AS00.00-Z-0013-01A
	Risk of injury  from pinching  or squeezing  when working on partially open Vario roof (stop mode) or in its closing area as a result of the Vario roof suddenly collapsing	Secure Vario roof with a suitable special tool.	AS77.50-Z-0001-01A

1	Remove catch from Vario roof		AR77.33-P-3400G
2	Remove right C-pillar paneling from Vario roof		AR68.30-P-4500G
3	Remove right side paneling in trunk		AR68.30-P-4800G
4	Remove cover above right B-pillar
5	Expose hydraulic lines no. 31 and no. 33 on Vario roof and in trunk up to soft top actuation hydraulic unit	Mark installation position of hydraulic lines and electrical leads tied to hydraulic lines: Installation:  Observe markings of installation position.
6	Remove retaining rings (2) and bolts (3) from lock panel (4)
7	Separate hydraulic lines no. 31 and no. 33 from soft top actuation hydraulic unit	When separating hold a rag around the hydraulic line connections to prevent hydraulic oil from running out. Immediately plug connections on the hydraulic lines and on the soft top actuation hydraulic unit with appropriate plug Pressure is still present in hydraulic lines when Vario roof has been moved with the roof switch and the ignition is not switched off
		Installation:  Observe line coding of hydraulic lines when connecting	Figure
8	Remove front catch hydraulic cylinder (1) with hydraulic lines from Vario roof
9	Install in the reverse order
10	Check oil level of soft top actuation hydraulic unit, correct		AR77.37-P-3501G
