Perform chassis alignment check - AR40.20-P-0200A

MODELS 129, 140, 163, 170, 202, 208, 210 

MEASURING Measuring, adjusting    
1 Drive vehicle into chassis alignment check bay and secure it by engaging the parking brake The measuring system must be approved by Mercedes-Benz.

2 Using the adapter, install the brake pedal retaining tool between the pedal and the driver's seat NOTES Protect the brake pedal and driver seat from damage.

3.1 Place the transmission in neutral Vehicles with transmission 716.6  
3.2 Move selector lever to position "P" Vehicles with transmission 722.6  
4 Open the window, exit the vehicle and close the door IMPORTANT Preparations for checking steering lock. The vehicle must not be loaded again.  
5 Switch off ignition    
6 Attach rapid-clamping devices   AR40.20-P-0230A 
7 Fit on measuring heads    
8 Unlock turnplates and sliding platforms    
9 Perform initial measurement    
10.1 Check vehicle level at front and rear axle and adjust, if necessary With Mercedes-Benz test equipment.

10.2 Check vehicle level at front and rear axle with electronic inclination meter and adjust, if necessary With electronic inclinometer.

12.1 Check and adjust toe on rear axle According to results of initial measurement.

14.1 Checking rear axle camber According to results of initial measurement.

17 Perform final measurement    
18 Detach sensors    
19 Remove brake pedal jack tool with its adapter SPECIAL TOOL Brake pedal jack Fig 1

20 Drive vehicle off measuring system    
21 Lock turntables and sliding platforms
