	Check
	Risk of injury in the form of trapping or crushing, or even severing of limbs, if caught in windshield wiper mechanism	Always remove ignition key when working on windshield wiper mechanism.	AS82.30-Z-0001-01A
	When working on raised wiper arm (1) ensure that it does not fall onto the windshield to prevent it from being damaged.
1	Move wiper system out of park position and then position the wiper arm (1) manually in the center position	To do this, turn on ignition (circuit 15 or circuit 15R) and turn wiper switch to position "Two". Switch ignition off after wiper system has started, turn wiper switch back to "Zero" stage. The center position is reached when the wiper arm (1) is vertical and it is thus equidistant to the left and right A-pillars.
2	Remove wiper blade	See Operator's Manual
3	Check angle of incidence of wiper arm (1) relative to windshield in center position and compare with adjustment value	If the measured test value deviates from the tolerance range when in the center position, then the wiper arm (1) has to be adjusted. In right-hand drive vehicles the sign for the test and adjustment values must be changed.	AR82.30-P-6050-01EA

4.1	Adjust angle of incidence of wiper arm (1) relative to windshield in center position	In event of deviation of test value from tolerance range in center position. In right-hand drive vehicles the sign for the test and adjustment values must be changed.	AR82.30-P-6100-02E

5	Move wiper system to park position	To do so switch on ignition (circuit 15 or circuit 15R). Once the wiper system reaches the park position, switch the ignition back off.
6	Check angle of incidence of wiper arm (1) relative to windshield in park position and compare with adjustment value	If the measured test value deviates from the tolerance range when in the park position, then the wiper system has to be adjusted.
