Before proceeding with indicated test step(s), it is essential that PREPARATION FOR TESTING & CONNECTING ELECTRICAL TEST EQUIPMENT is observed. Failure to properly connect test equipment may lead to incorrect diagnosis or personal injury. See PREPARATION FOR TESTING . For test equipment hook up. See CONNECTING ELECTRICAL TEST EQUIPMENT under ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSTIC TESTS (SECTION 23). Return to fault code table and continue to indicated test/step(s).

Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is found to be unlogical (only retrievable with control module version 7.6) (when using the dynamometer or brake test equipment, operation of the soft top is locked. When reading out the impulse scan tool DTC's, the DTCs 19 or 28 or 29 and 30 are given. If the vehicle is subsequently driven for more then 10 seconds, the soft top function is again possible. DTCs 19 or 28 or 29 remain in memory, erase impulse indication).

⁽³⁾	Impulse display 10 indicates that the AIRBAG deployment drivers in the control unit were activated. This impulse readout cannot be erased. The control unit must be replaced.
