Front Bumper Reinforcement Removal/Installation

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Set plate (See SET PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front bumper (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL .) (See FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION .)
- Front combination light (See FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Intake air guide (See INTAKE AIR GUIDE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front energy-absorbing form (With front energy-absorbing form) (See ENERGY-ABSORBING FORM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front under cover No. 1 (See FRONT UNDER COVER No. 1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Bumper stiffener lower (See BUMPER STIFFENER LOWER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
CAUTION:- The front bumper reinforcement supports the shroud panel. After removing the front bumper reinforcement, an excessive load applied to the shroud panel could result in damage. When removing the front bumper reinforcement, always use a floor jack to support the shroud panel.
- Support the shroud panel using a floor jack.
- Remove the bolts shown in the figure.
CAUTION:
- Remove the front bumper reinforcement installation bolts using two people, one person supports the front bumper reinforcement. If all the front bumper reinforcement installation bolts are removed without supporting the front bumper reinforcement, it may fall off and be damaged.
- Remove the bolts shown in the figure and remove the front bumper reinforcement.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Adjust the headlight aiming. (See HEADLIGHT AIMING .)
- If a front fog light is removed from the front bumper, perform the front fog light aiming. (With front fog lights) (See FRONT FOG LIGHT AIMING .)
