Dashboard Removal/Installation: Removal
WARNING:
- Handling the driver's air bag module improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. - Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:

- Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)

- Remove the wiring harness clips.
- Remove the nuts.
- Remove rear console bracket No. 3.
- Remove the electric parking brake control module. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the electric parking brake control module bracket. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the dashboard wiring harness connectors and remove wiring harness clips A and B. (With center display)
- Disconnect the dashboard wiring harness connectors and remove wiring harness clips A, B and C. (Without center display)
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the nuts.
- Remove the dashboard bracket.
- To prevent damage to the windshield, apply protective tape to the position shown in the figure.
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the caps and the bolts.
- Lift the dashboard up in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and remove it from the guide pins on the vehicle body sides, and pull out the dashboard in the direction of arrow (2).
- Rotate the dashboard in the direction shown in the figure.
- Remove the dashboard from either the driver-side or passenger-side front door opening.
