Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- INSTALL BATTERY COVER LOCK STRIKER

Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 - REMOVE BATTERY COVER LOCK STRIKER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 - REMOVE UPPER INVERTER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [10/2022 - 08/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [08/2023 - ]
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [10/2022 - 08/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [08/2023 - ]
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
- Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
- REMOVE NO. 3 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [10/2022 - 08/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [08/2023 - ]
- REMOVE NO. 2 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD
- Use the same procedure as for the No. 3 battery service cover board.
- REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD
- REMOVE FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU (for Power Seat)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [10/2022 - 08/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [08/2023 - ]
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LEG SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE NO. 2 FLOOR MAT
- REMOVE UPPER HV BATTERY COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE NO. 6 HV BATTERY SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 - DISCONNECT NO. 2 HV FLOOR UNDER WIRE WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.
Nut Connector - Disconnect the connector.NOTE:
To prevent the wire harness from being caught, make sure to bundle the wire harness using insulating tape or equivalent.
- Disengage the claw and open the No. 2 traction battery device box cover as shown in the illustration.
- Using an insulated tool, remove 3 nuts and disconnect the floor under wire and No. 2 floor under wire.NOTE:
To prevent the wire harness from being caught, make sure to bundle the wire harness using insulating tape or equivalent.
- Disconnect the connector.
- DISCONNECT HV BATTERY CHARGER WIRE WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.
- Using an insulated tool, remove 3 nuts and disconnect the HV battery charger wire.NOTE:
To prevent the wire harness from being caught, make sure to bundle the wire harness using insulating tape or equivalent.
- Using an insulated tool, remove 3 nuts and disconnect the HV battery charger wire.
- Remove the 3 nuts.
- Disengage the clamp.
- Disengage the grommet and pull out the HV battery charger wire from the floor panel hole.
- REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER WITH TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]
- REMOVE UPPER INVERTER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
NOTE:Do not allow any foreign matter or water to enter the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly.
- CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
NOTE:Do not allow any foreign matter or water to enter the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly.
- REMOVE HV BATTERY CHARGER WIRE WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
NOTE:- Do not allow any foreign matter or water to enter the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly.
- Do not touch the waterproof seal or terminals of the connector.
- Do not damage the terminals, connector housing or rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly when connecting the connector.
- REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET
- REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH
- Remove the 4 bolts (A), 3 screws (B) and clip (C).
- Turn the 3 clips (D) and remove the front floor cover RH from the vehicle body.NOTE:
If the 3 clips are not turned when the front floor cover RH is removed, the front floor cover RH or stud bolt may be damaged.
HINT:
Do not remove the clips from the front floor cover RH.
- REMOVE ENGINE SERVICE COVER ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE REAR MAIN MUFFLER HEAT INSULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE NO. 2 INVERTER COOLING PIPE
- REMOVE FLOOR UNDER WIRE WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- REMOVE NO. 2 HV FLOOR UNDER WIRE WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
