Removal [08/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE COVER PLATE (except Gasoline Model) 
    1. for T24A-FTS 1Motor-HEV Model:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    2. for A25A-FXS:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    1. for T24A-FTS Gasoline Model:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX (for Gasoline Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  7. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD REAR RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  8. REMOVE JUNCTION BLOCK SERVICE COVER (except Gasoline Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  9. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD REAR LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  10. REMOVE JUNCTION BLOCK SERVICE COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  11. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH (w/o Spare Tire) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  12. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  13. SEPARATE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

  15. REMOVE DECK BOARD SET SUPPORT LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  16. REMOVE DECK BOARD SET SUPPORT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  17. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

      *a Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook (Front Side) *b Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook (Rear Side)
      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2) - -
      1. Lift the front edge of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration and disengage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly from the rear seat cushion lock hooks.

        Standard Measurement

        Area Measurement Area Measurement
        A 120 mm (4.72 in.) B 160 mm (6.30 in.)
        C 40 mm (1.57 in.) - -
        NOTE:
        • Disengage each hook at the front part of the rear seat cushion frame one area at a time.
        • Be sure to hold the parts of the seat cushion assembly directly next to the rear seat cushion frame hooks when lifting it. Lifting a different part of the cushion may deform the rear seat cushion frame.
      2. Disengage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the rear side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration.

      *A w/o Occupant Detection Sensor or w/o Climate Control System or w/o Seat Heater System *B w/ Occupant Detection Sensor or w/ Climate Control System or w/ Seat Heater System
      1. Disconnect the 2 connecters.
    3. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  18. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

  19. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

  20. REMOVE REAR SEAT CENTER HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

  22. DISCONNECT REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

      *a Protective Tape Remove in this Direction
      Insert Screwdriver Here - -
      1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disconnect the rear center seat outer belt assembly as shown in the illustration.
  23. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

      *A for Power Seat - -
      Direction to defeat Remove in this Direction
      1. Disconnect each connector.
      2. Disconnect the airbag connector to the rear seatback assembly RH.
        NOTE:

        When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

        HINT: 

        Refer to How to Connect or Disconnect Airbag Connector.

        Refer to HOW TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR [10/2022 - ]

      3. Remove the 5 bolts.
      4. Disengage the pin and remove the rear seatback assembly RH.
        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  24. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH

      1. Disengage the 3 clips.

      *A for Power Seat - -
      Direction to defeat Remove in this Direction
      1. Disconnect each connector.
      2. Disconnect the airbag connector to the rear seatback assembly LH.
        NOTE:

        When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

        HINT: 

        Refer to How to Connect or Disconnect Airbag Connector.

        Refer to HOW TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR [10/2022 - ]

      3. Remove the 5 bolts.
      4. Disengage the pin and remove the rear seatback assembly LH.
        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
