Removal [11/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH 
    1. Disengage the 2 clamps.

      *A for 2WD
      *B for AWD
    2. Remove the 4 bolts and front No. 1 engine mounting bracket LH.
  3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and front No. 1 engine mounting bracket RH.

      *A for 2WD
      *B for AWD
  4. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  5. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  6. REMOVE OIL FILTER BRACKET (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  7. REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH 
  8. REMOVE NO. 1 COMPRESSOR MOUNTING BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 compressor mounting bracket.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and No. 2 idler pulley sub-assembly.

  10. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.

  11. REMOVE ENGINE WIRE 
    1. Remove the engine wire from the engine assembly.
  12. REMOVE NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 6 water by-pass hose from the water outlet and cylinder head sub-assembly.

  13. REMOVE NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 2 water by-pass hose.

  14. REMOVE NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 3 water by-pass hose.

  15. REMOVE NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 2 water by-pass hose assembly.

    2. Disengage the 3 clamps.
  16. REMOVE WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Slide the 2 clips and remove the water by-pass hose.

  17. REMOVE WATER INLET CAP (for 2WD) 
    1. Slide the clip and remove the water inlet cap.

  18. REMOVE NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE 
    1. Remove the bolt.

    2. Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 2 water by-pass pipe.
  19. REMOVE NO. 10 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and remove the No. 10 water by-pass hose from the rear water by-pass joint.

  20. REMOVE NO. 11 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and remove the No. 11 water by-pass hose from the No. 1 water outlet pipe.

  21. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

    *c Rear Side - -
    Bolt Nut
    V-bank Cover Bracket - -
    1. Remove the V-bank cover bracket (A) and wire harness clamp bracket.
    2. Remove the V-bank cover bracket (B).
    3. Remove the nut and wire harness clamp bracket.
    4. for 2WD
      1. Remove the 15 bolts and 15 wire harness clamp brackets.
    5. for AWD
      1. Remove the 15 bolts and 15 wire harness clamp brackets.
  22. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  23. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE WITH SENSOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  24. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY (for Port Injection) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  25. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  26. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  27. REMOVE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  28. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  29. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE WITH SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  30. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  31. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY (for Direct Injection) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  32. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  33. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  34. REMOVE ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  35. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
