Removal [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  2. REMOVE PILLAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  3. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    HINT: 
    Pull back the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH so that the front pillar garnish assembly LH can be removed.

  4. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  5. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23
  6. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  7. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  8. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 67

  9. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  10. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 69

  11. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  12. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 71

  13. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 57
  14. REMOVE NO. 2 FORWARD RECOGNITION COVER 
    NOTE:

    If these claws are disengaged separately, they may break. Insert a moulding remover between them and pull it down to disengage the claws simultaneously.

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 FORWARD RECOGNITION COVER 
    NOTE:

    To avoid damaging the guides, always slide the No. 1 forward recognition cover parallel to the windshield glass.

      Remove in this Direction - -
  16. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY 
  17. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:

    Be careful not damage the roof headlining assembly or vehicle interior.

      1. Slightly lower the front section of the roof headlining assembly so that the inner rear view mirror bracket can be removed.
  18. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR BRACKET

      Nut Connector
  19. REMOVE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA 
    NOTE:
    • Do not pull the harness forcibly when disconnecting the connector.
    • Do not touch the camera lens.
    • If the forward recognition camera bracket is deformed or damaged, replace it together with the windshield glass.

  20. REMOVE FORWARD RECOGNITION HOOD 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the forward recognition hood is necessary.

    NOTE:

    If the inner surface of the windshield glass in the area in front of the forward recognition camera is dirty, remove the forward recognition hood, clean the glass, and then reinstall the forward recognition hood and forward recognition camera.

      Do not touch Remove in this Direction
      Push - -
      1. Perform the following procedure to remove the forward recognition hood.

        1. Detach the claw as shown in the illustration.

        2. Slide the claw of the guides parallel to the surface of the glass to remove the forward recognition hood as shown in the illustration.

        NOTE:

        Do not touch the areas shown in the illustration as application of load may cause bending.
