Removal [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 2 FORWARD RECOGNITION COVER 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14
  2. REMOVE NO. 1 FORWARD RECOGNITION COVER 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15
  3. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY

      Lift in this Direction Temporarily attachment in this Direction
      1. Disconnect the 3 connectors shown in this illustration.
      2. Remove the 5 nuts.
      3. Lift the Inner rear view mirror assembly with bracket in the direction shown in this illustration.
        NOTE:
        • The upper part of the inner rear view mirror assembly with bracket is not completely removed because the roof headlining interferes with inner rear view mirror assembly with bracket.
        • Forcibly removing the inner rear view mirror assembly with bracket or lifting it with more force than necessary will cause damage to inner rear view mirror assembly and roof headlining assembly.
      4. Detach the clamp shown in this illustration.
      5. Detach the each clamp shown in this illustration.
        NOTE:

        Perform this work from the windshield side. if you do it from the connector mounting side, there is a risk of damage.

      6. Return the inner rear view mirror assembly with bracket to the installation position and temporarily attach it.

      Tilt in this Direction Remove in this Direction
      1. Tilt the mirror surface down to the maximum tiltable position.
      2. Using a T20 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the screw.
      3. Slide the inner rear view mirror assembly as shown in the illustration and remove the inner rear view mirror assembly.
