- REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER

- REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

- DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL
Remove in this Direction - - - Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.
- Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.
- Using a moulding remover, disengage the 5 clips as shown in the illustration.
- Disengage the 3 guides to remove the No. 1 instrument side panel as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 - REMOVE METER HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 - REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY WITH INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY RH
- Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH
- Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL
- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 - REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH
- Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
- Use the same procedure as for the LH side and RH side.

- Use the same procedure as for the LH side and RH side.
- REMOVE NO. 1 DEFROSTER NOZZLE GARNISH
- Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction - - - Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 clips and 3 claws as shown in the illustration.
- Disengage the 7 guides to remove the No. 1 defroster nozzle garnish as shown in the illustration.
- Disconnect the 2 connectors.
- REMOVE NO. 1 SPEAKER OPENING COVER ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 4 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Headup Display)
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY
Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - - - Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.
- Using a moulding remover, disengage the clip as shown in the illustration.
- Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips to remove the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
*A w/ Telematics Transceiver - - - Remove the bolt <D>.
- Disconnect each connector.
- Disengage the guide and each clamp.
- Disconnect the airbag connector.

- Disengage the 2 claws to disconnect the cooler (room temp. sensor) thermistor.
- Remove the 2 clips.
- Remove the 2 bolts <A>, 4 bolts <B> and nut <E>.
Remove in this Direction - - - Disengage the 5 guides and clamp as shown in the illustration to remove the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.NOTE:
- Do not damage the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
- Do not allow the wire harnesses to interfere with the surrounding parts.
- Disengage the 5 guides and clamp as shown in the illustration to remove the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
- REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the glove compartment door lock cylinder assembly is necessary.
Remove in this Direction - - - Move the glove compartment door lever as shown in the illustration.
- Using a screwdriver, press the cylinder lock plate to release it and pull out the glove compartment door lock cylinder assembly from the glove compartment door lever to remove it as shown in the illustration.
