Removal [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 
    • for HFC-134a (R134a):

      See step  2

    • for HFO-1234yf (R1234yf):

      See step  2

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. REMOVE WHEEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - ]

  6. REMOVE QUARTER PANEL REAR MUDGUARD RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - ]

  7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL RH

      1. Using a 4 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the screw.
      2. Remove the grommet.
      3. Remove the 4 clips and rear bumper side seal RH.
  8. REMOVE REAR WHEEL HOUSE LINER RH

  9. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for 7-Passenger)

  10. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (except 7-Passenger, w/ Tonneau Cover)

  11. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (except 7-Passenger) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11
  12. REMOVE REAR DECK TRIM COVER (except 7-Passenger)

  13. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (except 7-Passenger)

  14. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD REAR LH (except 7-Passenger)

  15. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD REAR RH (except 7-Passenger) 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  16. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX (except 7-Passenger)

  17. REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT REAR SUPPORT PLATE (except 7-Passenger)

  18. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for 4-Passenger) 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  19. REMOVE OUTER LAP BELT ANCHOR COVER (except 4-Passenger) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  20. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (FLOOR ANCHOR) (except 4-Passenger) 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  21. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (FLOOR ANCHOR) (for 7-Passenger) 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  22. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

      Remove in this Direction - -
  30. DISCONNECT INLET HEATER WATER HOSE H

      1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the inlet heater water hose H.
        NOTE:
        • Do not apply excessive force to the inlet heater water hose H.
        • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
  31. DISCONNECT OUTLET HEATER WATER HOSE G

      1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the outlet heater water hose G.
        NOTE:
        • Do not apply excessive force to the outlet heater water hose G.
        • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
  32. DISCONNECT NO. 2 LIQUID TUBE

      1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 2 liquid tube.
      2. Remove the O-ring from the No. 2 liquid tube.
        NOTE:

        Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent the entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  33. DISCONNECT NO. 2 SUCTION TUBE

      1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 2 suction tube.
      2. Remove the O-ring from the No. 2 suction tube.
        NOTE:

        Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent the entry of moisture and foreign matter.
