Installation [05/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the engine switch is off.
    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      WARNING:
      • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
      • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
    3. Attach the clamp.

    4. Connect the airbag connector.
      NOTE:

      When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

      HINT: 

      Refer to How to Connect or Disconnect Airbag Connector:

    5. Attach the claw to install the lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly.

      Install in this Direction
    6. Install the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)

  2. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  3. INSTALL BOX PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  4. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE BOX 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  5. INSTALL SHIFTING HOLE COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  6. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. INSTALL RADIO REMOTE TUNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  8. INSTALL CONSOLE PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  9. INSTALL NO. 2 GLOVE COMPARTMENT PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  10. INSTALL NO. 1 GLOVE COMPARTMENT PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34

  11. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35

  12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR NO. 2 OPENING TRIM COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37

  13. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38

  14. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [05/2023 - ]

  16. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING BATTERY TERMINAL 

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

  17. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK

  18. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
