Installation [07/2020 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the engine switch is off.
    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      WARNING:
      • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
      • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
    3. Connect the airbag connector.
      NOTE:

      When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

      HINT:

      Refer to HOW TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR [07/2020 - 05/2023]

    4. Attach the claw to connect the DLC3.

      *a Wire Harness Clamp
    5. Attach the wire harness clamp.
    6. Attach the hook to temporarily install the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.
    7. Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    8. Check that there is no looseness in the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [10/2022 - 05/2023]

  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [10/2022 - 05/2023]

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [10/2022 - 05/2023]

  5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR NO. 2 OPENING TRIM COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [10/2022 - 05/2023]

  6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33 [10/2022 - 05/2023]

  7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35 [10/2022 - 05/2023]

  8. INSTALL BOX PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  9. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE BOX 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  10. INSTALL SHIFTING HOLE COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  11. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  12. INSTALL RADIO REMOTE TUNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  13. INSTALL CONSOLE PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2020 - 05/2023]

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [07/2020 - 05/2023]

  15. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK 

    Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2020 - ]

  16. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [07/2020 - ]
