Removal [10/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [10/2018 - 07/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [07/2022 - ]

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2018 - 07/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  4. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
  5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE INVERTER WATER PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

  7. REMOVE HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  8. REMOVE LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  9. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL 
    1. Remove the grommet, 2 clips and No. 1 radiator to support seal.

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 air cleaner inlet from the upper radiator support sub-assembly and air cleaner case sub-assembly.

  13. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER UPPER RETAINER 
    1. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the hood control cable assembly from the front bumper upper retainer.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and front bumper upper retainer from the vehicle.
  14. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2018 - 07/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [07/2022 - ]

  15. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. w/ Vehicle Proximity Notification System:
      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the 2 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the hood lock support sub-assembly.
    2. w/o Vehicle Proximity Notification System:
      1. Disengage the 2 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the hood lock support sub-assembly.

    3. Disengage the 6 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the fan shroud and upper radiator support sub-assembly.

    4. Disconnect the wire harness connector from the cooling fan wire.
    5. Lift up the lever to disengage the lock, and disconnect the wire harness connector from the cooling fan motor.
    6. Disengage the 3 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the fan shroud.

    7. Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support sub-assembly together with hood lock support sub-assembly from the vehicle.

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and 3 guides to remove the No. 2 radiator air guide from the radiator assembly.

  17. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH 
    1. Disengage the claw and guide to remove the No. 1 radiator air guide LH from the radiator assembly.

  18. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH 
    1. Disengage the claw and guide to remove the No. 1 radiator air guide RH from the radiator assembly.

  19. DISCONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.

  20. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Disengage the clamp.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.
  21. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Disengage the clamp.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.
  22. DISCONNECT HYBRID RADIATOR INLET HOSE 
    1. Disengage the clamp.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the hybrid radiator inlet hose from the radiator assembly.
  23. DISCONNECT NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING INLET HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 inverter cooling inlet hose from the radiator assembly.

  24. SEPARATE NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the claw.

    2. Disengage the 2 clamps to separate the No. 1 inverter cooling hose assembly from the fan shroud.
  25. SEPARATE HYBRID WATER PUMP INLET HOSE 
    1. Disengage the 3 clamps to separate the hybrid water pump inlet hose from the fan shroud.

  26. SEPARATE NO. 1 HYBRID WATER PUMP OUTLET HOSE 
    1. Disengage the clamp to separate the No. 1 hybrid water pump outlet hose from the fan shroud.

  27. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [10/2018 - 07/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [07/2022 - ]

  28. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2018 - 07/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [07/2022 - ]

  29. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [10/2018 - 07/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [07/2022 - ]

  30. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the radiator assembly together with the fan shroud assembly from the vehicle as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Disengage the 2 claws.

    3. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the fan shroud assembly from the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when removing the fan shroud assembly.

  31. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the radiator assembly.

  32. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Remove the 2 lower radiator supports from the radiator assembly.

  33. REMOVE RADIATOR DRAIN COCK PLUG 
    1. Remove the 2 radiator drain cock plugs.

    2. Remove the 2 O-rings from the 2 radiator drain cock plugs.
