Preliminary Procedures Remove the fuel tank filler pipe housing from the pickup box. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement . Disconnect the fuel tank filler hose. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Hose Replacement . Remove the endgate. Refer to Endgate Replacement . Remove the tail lamps. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement (H3T) or Tail Lamp Replacement (H3) . Remove the quarter panel lower rear molding. Refer to Quarter Panel Lower Rear Molding Replacement . Disconnect all electrical connectors and wiring harnesses from the pickup box.
1	Pickup Box Bolt (Qty: 6) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 85 N.m (63 lb ft)
2	Pickup Box Tip: Use help as needed to remove the pickup box. Use the alignment pins on the frame of the vehicle to help reinstall the pickup box. Transfer any parts as needed if replacing the pickup box.

Disconnect the fuel tank filler hose. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Hose Replacement .
Remove the endgate. Refer to Endgate Replacement .
Remove the tail lamps. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement (H3T) or Tail Lamp Replacement (H3) .
Remove the quarter panel lower rear molding. Refer to Quarter Panel Lower Rear Molding Replacement .
Disconnect all electrical connectors and wiring harnesses from the pickup box.

Pickup Box Bolt (Qty: 6)

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten: 85 N.m (63 lb ft)

Tip:

Use help as needed to remove the pickup box.
Use the alignment pins on the frame of the vehicle to help reinstall the pickup box.
Transfer any parts as needed if replacing the pickup box.
