    Front Floor Console Extension Panel - Left Side (1) - Remove - Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement - Left Side (Equinox) , or Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement - Left Side (Terrain)

    Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (1) - Remove

    Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (1) - Remove

  46. Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Ground Nut (2) - Remove [3x]
  47. Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Nut (3) - Remove [2x]
  48. Use a suitable tool to release the HVAC module tabs from the tie bar.

    NOTE:

    Loosening the nut will aid in releasing the HVAC module from the tie bar.

    Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Nut (1) @ Cowl Panel - Loosen

    There are two tabs on the body hinge pillar tie bar bracket (1) that may interfere with the removal of the tie bar.

  54. When removing the instrument panel tie bar reposition bracket for clearance of the brake pedal assembly guide pins for removal of the tie bar.

    Use a suitable tool to push the tab (1) down.

    With the aid of an assistant, remove the instrument panel tie bar (1) from the vehicle.

  58. Support the HVAC module in order to prevent damage.
  59. Note the location and routing of the instrument panel wiring harness prior to removal to ensure proper installation.
  60. Disconnect the wiring harness from the instrument panel tie bar.
