Installation Procedure

- Install Camshaft Cover Gasket (1)
- Install Camshaft Cover (4)
- Loosely install Camshaft Cover Bolts (3) (Qty: 19)
- Install Camshaft Cover Washer (2)
- Loosely install Camshaft Cover Bolts (1) (Qty: 4)
- Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe. Refer to Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Replacement (LCV)
- Install Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve - Intake. Refer to Camshaft Position Actuator Intake Solenoid Valve Replacement
- Install Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve - Exhaust. Refer to Camshaft Position Actuator Exhaust Solenoid Valve Replacement
- Install the ignition coil. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement
- Install Vacuum Pump. Refer to Vacuum Pump Replacement
- Install Oil Level Indicator
- Install Camshaft Cover Heat Shield. Refer to Camshaft Cover Heat Shield Replacement
- Reposition Wiring Harness (2)
- Install Wiring Harness Retainer (1)
- Install Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube. Refer to Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement
NOTE:
Install a NEW gasket.
NOTE:
Ensure the long camshaft cover bolts (1) are installed in the correct positions.
